Jennifer, the dates are not a good time for most florists exhausted after a hectic Valentine's Day. Although the floral challenge has a professional floral designer division, this flower show is open to everyone. Many of the flower and garden shows across the nation are geared toward the consumer's enjoyment giving florists, landscapers, flower shops, and master gardener programs a venue in which to introduce the masses to their wonderful industry. These shows differ from trade shows and industry floral designer shows and the organizer may not always think of the other side of the coin. I'm sure the blending of the two shows probably lead to the February dates with each show making compromises. Hopefully, next year the date will fall at a better time for florists.

Are you sure this show is for Floral Shops and designers? Do the people who scheduled this have any idea that February 14th and the two weeks leading up to it are the busiest time in ANY florsit's life and that the 15th through the 17th is clean up and recovery time? Shame on them
