FSN at Texas Floral Expo 2015

Last weekend was the 2015 Texas Floral Expo hosted by the Texas State Florist Association. We had a wonderful time meeting with members and seeing all the great sessions. We brought on many smiles with our popular FSN bags too! Here are some photos from this great event!

FSN at FSFA Conference

We had the pleasure of attending FSFA’s Annual Convention this past weekend and had an unforgettable time. Our FSN Account Manager Irving Casiano Flores had a wonderful time. Here are a few pictures.

FSN at the NE Floral Expo 2015

We had a fantastic weekend at the NE Floral Expo 2015 in Groton, Connecticut. The expo coordinators and volunteers did a great job putting together such a great event!

FSN at Great Lakes Floral Expo 2015

We had a great weekend in Michigan at the Great Lakes Floral Expo! There were great business sessions by some great presenters, like Derrick Myers, Tim Huckabee, Mark Anderson, and Jamie Jamison Adams of Flower Shop Network. There were also some amazing design sessions and everyone who participated in the designs contests created beautiful work! More importantly, it was fun to see florists get together and share ideas!

This was a very interesting design that caught our eye!

This beautiful bouquet really sparkles!

This presentation used a variety of flowers and really made a statement.

This elegant standing spray was just one of many that were created during the sympathy design session.

There was no missing this creative use of flowers and greens to make an incredible outfit!

FSN Visits the Georgia State Convention!

Flower Shop Network made their presence known at the Georgia State Convention held in Atlanta, GA, at the Marriott Century Center Hotel February 28 – March 2nd! It was a fabulous weekend with lots of vendors and some excellent presentations. And who didn’t love the President’s Ball, the Burton’s Cup or the Chopped Competition? With all of the events available, there was something there for everyone!

We had a great time with the crowds and enjoyed seeing old friends while making a few new ones. Thank you to the Georgia State Florist Association for having us out. We’ll see you next year!

FSN and Rick Rivers at the Ozark Florist Association Convention

The Ozark Florist Association held their annual convention on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of September. FSN was there to take part in the festivities and cheer on Rick Rivers as he gave his presentation titled “Marketing in Today’s Climate”. Here are a few photos of what we saw!

FSN at the Society of American Florists Convention 2013!

If you didn’t make it to Phoenix, AZ this September, you missed out on an amazing, informative weekend full of conferences, fun and some serious floral beauty! Flower Shop Network was there in force and we’ve got some excellent photos to show you. So sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Here is a photo of the FSN booth. As usual, our setup crew did a great job! But enough with the same old, same old. Let’s take a look at some of the cool stuff!

Take a look at these excellent varieties from the Outstanding Varieties Exhibition! That is some fantastic work!

Here’s a close-up of a gorgeous variety. I can definitely see why it’s a blue ribbon winner!

It’s Brock and Loranne, the owners of FSN! They look very happy attending the Stars of the Industry Awards Reception & Dinner. Judging from the food on those plates, I think I see where all the good cheer is originating! That looks delicious!

This is Cindy, our VP of Sales and her husband Bobby. The dinner is making smiles all around!

Here’s a nice overview of the room. It should come as no surprise, but there are some lovely florals adorning this banquet! I love seeing florists putting their decorating skills to use! Speaking of florists and skills, I saw a few items that gave floral dresses a WHOLE new meaning!

A gorgeous interpretation. These dress/flower mixes are amazing!

This one is so elegant. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this is reminiscent of the recent movie Black Swan with Natalie Portman?

It looks like the forest draped itself around this mannequin! I can’t help but think of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

What is this, Hawaii? Let’s go to a Luau!! Fun and beautiful all at once! Speaking of Hawaii, what does that state and Phoenix, AZ have in common? Beautiful weather and golf courses!

Maine Florists Association Convention: Fun and Family

For everyone who missed the Maine Florists Association Annual Convention, I have it on good authority that it was an amazing event and a great time was had by all! Our own Jamie Jamison Adams attended and was fortunate enough to have been invited to give a fun and informative presentation to the florists assembled. She then stepped down from the podium and joined in the festivities, and what festivities there were! From floral design contests to the Twisted Yankee Swap, there was never a dull moment. But I won’t hold you up any longer with my chatter, on to the photos!

A look at the FSN booth! I have nothing but respect for the men and women who set these up. They always do such an amazing job!

An absolutely stunning arrangement illustrating the coming of fall! The designer Amy Murphy of Cook Florist in Presque Isle, ME combined her two passions, hunting and floral design, and used the feathers from pheasants she’d shot herself as accent pieces. Beautiful! There’s something to be said for finding creative ways to use pieces that might otherwise go to waste. [Read more…]

AFA Convention: Arkansas and Mid-America Cup

The Arkansas Florist Association’s 61st Annual Convention and Trade Show was held this year August 16-18 in Hot Springs, AR, and if you missed our previous article detailing FSN’s presence at the show, check it out here! Two of the major events at this convention are the Arkansas Cup and Mid-America Cup. The winner of the Arkansas Cup this year will have the chance to represent the state of Arkansas in next year’s Mid-America Cup. The Mid-America Cup is a competition between winners from state-wide competitions. All winners are invited to attend, and this year the competition consisted of representatives from 14 different states! So, without further ado, here are some awesome photos for you to peruse!
