We are so excited to present to you our newly re-designed FSN Funeral Homes! We have completely changed the look-and-feel, but also the motivation behind the site. We want FSN Funeral Homes to be a complete resource for visitors looking for information about funerals, funeral homes and funeral planning.

The new layout features six, easy-to-navigate categories to easily help visitors looking for specific information on any aspect of funeral services. With new articles coming out each week, we are confident this site will become a top resource for funeral planning.
There is also a improved search bar at the top to search for a funeral home anywhere in the United States or Canada. This can be a big help to florists as well when you are looking for funeral homes in other cities. You can also send your customers here if they have questions or need help with funeral planning. If you have a topic or question you think we should cover, let us know!
We are very proud and hope you find our new FSN Funeral Homes to be both convenient and beneficial.

Well, our contest has come to a close. If you haven't been keeping up, we asked our florist friends to show us their predictions for the Royal Wedding Bouquet. We had a lot of fabulous entries, but Royal Wedding florist, Shane Connolly took us all by surprise. The actual design of the Royal Wedding Bouquet was modest compared to what florists were expecting. Connolly used Sweet William, lily of the valley, hyacinth, ivy and myrtle — all have small white blooms, but deep meanings from the Language of Flowers, used heavily in the Victorian Era. Check out the pic of Kate's bouquet on Flirty Fleur's blog.
Because we couldn't just have a contest without a winner, we took the closest 3 bouquets and put them to a vote! We chose these because they (1) used white flowers, (2) included small flowers, (3) had a slight cascade shape, although Kate's was very slight.
Our Winner Is

Tina does fantastic wedding work! She also entered these two bouquets in our Royal Wedding contest:

Great work Tina! Congratulations!

If you can't tell, we LOVE parties here at FSN Headquarters. Yesterday was a great one! The awesome head blog writer for Wedding & Party Network, our sister site, is getting married the end of this month, and we threw her a shower to remember! Kelly and her fiance, Bart, are gettin' hitched on April 30th.

Spring was the theme of this shower, and instead of the usual house-warming gifts, we had a Stock-The-Pantry party!

Everyone created recipe sheets with their favorite food dish and gave Kelly the dry goods to make it! Kelly's fiance attended culinary school, and Kelly is a big-time party planner, so they both enjoy spending their time in the kitchen. Kelly received tons of yummy goodies from everyone! More pics after the jump! Continue reading "Wedding Bells At FSN: Kelly's Shower" »

It's photo shoot day here at FSN and we couldn't be more EXCITED!
It only happens a few times a year and when photo shoot time comes around, we are all in great moods! They practically FILL the building with flowers for several days, bring in top-notch designers, (Regina Berryman, AIFD and Robbin Yelverton, AIFD) and we get to watch the flower-building extravaganza! Ohhh it smells SO GOOD!

So, just what is the photo shoot all about? Our designers are creating NEW arrangements, not only for our website, but also for our florist friends using FSN websites. It's all about keepin' it fresh! (pun intended)

As the day continues, it is wonderful to see all of the brand new designs come alive. Now, it will be a while before the new images show up on the websites. It takes a lot of editing from our graphics team to get them truly perfect. I just wanted to share with you guys the excitement going on at FSN headquarters today!

I mean, just look how excited Kier is! He's practically overcome with joy, and he's a programmer!
Until the new arrangements are up, check out our already-outstanding flower gallery full of incredible designs just waiting to be delivered to your someone special!

For those of you who have been following FSN for a while, you know we love to party!! Our fantastic receptionist, Tracy, got married on January 2nd, and we just had to surprise her with what we do best — FOOD! And boy was there a lot of it!

Check out that yummy spread! We picked bright, fun colors for the decorations, and much to our surprise, purple and green are her favorites! The green punch might remind you of Shrek, but I promise it's to die for!
So once again, CONGRATULATIONS TRACY from all of us here at Flower Shop Network!

FLOWER FUN AND FLORAL TRENDS
Matching Corsage To Prom Dress
(April) The hottest trend in prom fashion, wild and crazy corsages that show off the teen's fun and funky dresses. Check out great prom corsage pics along with the dress they go with from a REAL high school prom. (Good ideas for next year moms & teens!) Probably my favorite post of last year, definitely a must see!

Design Inspiration Challenge
(September) We had SO MUCH FUN this summer with our Design Inspiration Challenge. How it worked: we selected an 'inspiration' or brilliant photo of art, architecture, butterflies… all sorts of things, and florists created an amazing flower arrangement 'inspired' by each photo. We got some very interesting submissions! Check them ALL out in this post, including our winner!
Floral Pocket Squares Trend
(October) This was a fun post because many people have never heard of a floral pocket square or how they are used. We made several designs in our studio to share with you. Floral pocket squares make perfect accessories to grooms who just can't do boutonnieres.
Trend Alert: Sushi Flowers
(September) For those who know me, know I had to choose this as a favorite. I love sushi! When I saw the sushi designs from this summer's floral conventions, I couldn't help but create this post!

It's no secret, Christmas is our favorite holiday here at Flower Shop Network. We can hardly wait to take down our Thanksgiving decor and trade it in for Christmas trees and holiday lights. It could be because we are spoiled with a delicious, catered lunch, or the dozens of presents (mostly ridiculously silly, gag gifts, but those are the best, hah!) under the 5 trees! So, here's a little tour of what we've got going on this year:

Christmas isn't complete without our annual Christmas card from Kinley!

Here are a few of the Christmas cards we've gotten at FSN! Thank you guys! Continue reading "Celebrating the Holidays At FSN" »

Go Pink For The Cure
Today Flower Shop Network participated in Arkansas' first ever Go Pink For The Cure Day. In September, Governor Mike Beebe declared October 1st to be Go Pink For The Cure Day to raise awareness for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. He urged all citizens to 'go pink' to raise awareness in their business, school, religious or social group. This day will surly do great things for creating awareness of the importance of mammography and remove barriers that prevent women from seeking mammograms.
They asked us to go pink and that is just what we did! At FSN, we have been personally affected by the horrible disease. Not only do many of us have friends and family members who have succumbed to breast cancer, but one of our very own teammates fell victim not long ago. However, not all stories here are sad, we have 2 PROUD survivors!
1 in 8 women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime. Until there is a cure, breast cancer awareness and early detection is the key. With early detection, we all win!
For every person who participates in Go Pink For The Cure Day, Gov. Mike Beebe asks for a donation of $5 to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure foundation. We did our part, now it's time for you to do yours!
Our local news station really promoted this event and even created a contest to get more people involved. They asked businesses to send in their pictures of their pink employees and have updated the photos throughout the day. We have really enjoyed seeing all of the local business' going pink and thought you would too. Check out FSN in the news!
