This is used both as a houseplant and the blooms are used as cut flowers for floral arrangements. Sometimes this flower is called Flamingo flower. The post has a picture of the bloom when it is fully open. Yours is in a very early stage of blooming. The bloom will actually unfold into a wide heart shaped flower. Joanne,
