Many types of blue flowers can add color to your wedding through traditional floral arrangements or by adding blue colored flowers to your reception decorations.

There are quite a few blue wedding flowers whose shades vary from pale baby blue to dark blue-green. Which includes- Delphinium, Monkshood, Hydrangea, Statice, Veronica, Morning Glory, Lobelia, Sweet Pea, Lupine, Juniper, Berries, Phlox, Hibiscus, Tulips, Columbine, Flax, Plumbago,Bayberry, Butterfly Bush, Bachelor Button.

Purple will bring a sense of richness to the cooler shades of blue and can add some warmth. Think about using silver accents, like vases, ribbon, or foil, to enrich your blue colored flowers. Lupine and Delphinium, with their dainty flowers, will really shine arranged with a background of trailing ivy, ferns, or the leaves of your flower choice.

Happy Marriage life in advance!

Kim,

There are several flowers which are considered blue. However most tend to be more toward the purple scale than the baby blue scale. I am listing the flower that I know are considered blue. available in September and relatively cost efficient.

Blue flowers are Agapathus, blue lace flower (Didiscus), Asters, Brodeiaea, Delphinum, Echinops, Iris, Lavender, Scabiosia, Veronica, larkspur, Nigella, Trachelium, Tweedia. Be sure to express to your local florist that you want sky blue or baby blue flowers. Your florists will be able to narrow you choices to the varieties that are truly baby blue instead of what is called blue.

I would recommend using Delphinium, Larkspur or Nigella for the blue and incorporate a chocolate brown ribbon in the bouquet to achieve your wedding color theme. I would use white rose in the bridal bouquet and white daisies in the bridesmaid bouquets. Your local florist will probably have several wonderful suggestion as well. The important thing is to convey the fact that you want baby blue flowers. Together you and your florist should be able to come up with wedding flowers that follow your color theme and your budget.
