Congratulations You Have A Red Margined Dracaena

September 12th, 2008 | By: Jamie Jamison Adams

Ask the Expert: What kind of plant is this?

I have this plant out of a live arrangement, but it didn't have any information on what kind of plant it was, which makes it difficult to find information on care. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Tricia

    Tricia,

You have a Dracaena marginata. This one happens to be on what I call a standard. Meaning the plant has grown or been trimmed to have the look of a tree. Red-Margined Dracaena houseplant care is easy and requires only a consistent room temperature, moderate watering, and bright filtered to low light. If you need more care instruction click on the picture and it will take you to our red margined dracaena page which will have care instructions on it. Please let me know if you need anything else.
