Find the Perfect Mother’s Day Flowers

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and remember, you can’t go wrong with flowers!  Flowers remain the most popular gift choice for Mother’s Day because they accurately show just how much you care.

We know that trying to pick out the perfect flowers for this special occasion can be difficult. Take a look at our flower guide designed to help you decide which type of flowers your mom will love. Being able to tell your mom why you chose a particular flower type and color will mean the world to her!

Lilies
Lilies have a strong sweet fragrance. They are highly sought after for Mother’s Day because they signify refined beauty and grace.

Carnations
The carnation is actually the original Mother’s Day flower. Carnations were delivered to all of the mothers at the very first celebration hosted by Anna Jarvis. She delivered single white carnations to mothers as a symbol of purity and a mother’s love. She chose the carnation as the staple flower of this holiday because it was her mother’s favorite flower.

Tulips
Whether potted or in a bouquet, tulips are a favorite because you can find them in almost any color and they last for a long time. Tulips are associated with new life, spring and charity.

Roses
Roses are also traditionally associated with motherhood and are known as the flower of love. This beautiful flower was sacred to the Greek goddess Isis, seen as the ideal mother.

Remember to include a card with a sweet message to add a personalized touch to your flower arrangement. Also make sure to order from your local florist for high-quality Mother’s Day arrangements. Type in your zip code to find a florist near you at our floral directory.
