This is a Hoya Carnosa commonly called wax plant because the flowers look as if they are made of wax. It is a beautiful plant and I have several varieties that grow outside in a large pot in a position sheltered from the hot afternoon sun in Melbourne.

Kim,

Yours is a wax plant (Hoya Carnosa). It blooms only when it gets enough light and is rootbound. The flowers will rebloom in the same place, so if you must trim it, trim where it has not bloomed.

Thanks!
