The minute I saw this plant it brought back memories.

This is a Neomarica northiana also known as walking iris or Apostle plant. It comes from the Iridaceae family.

Last December I received a similar question from a gentleman named Brian. The plant hadn’t bloomed, when he originally asked the question. After many back and forth conversations, he finally sent me a picture of the bloom.

Although the bloom is short lived, it should continue to produce blooms throughout the summer season.

Thank you very much! Does it also propagate as easy as the Iris bulbs do?

    Regards

    Bianca,

As far as I know it will be as easy as other types of iris.
