Get Out, Get Inspired! Visit Your Local Botanic Garden

If you need a boost of creativity this summer, get out to your local botanic garden. If you’re a florist, or just a flower-lover, there are huge benefits to visiting gardens FULL of summer beauty.

Inspiration At Botanical GardensGet In The Mood For Summer – The gardens will definitely put you in the right mood for the season. The vivid colors of the flowers and the incredible variety you will see will certainly set you on a course for inspiration.

Be Impressed – At a botanic garden, you will see dozens, if not hundreds of unique flowers, plants and trees that you probably have never even heard of before. The surprise is, they are actually growing in your area! (It’s always astonishing to me to see just what’s possible in my area with a little love and some hard work.)

Keep Track of Creativity – Most botanic gardens divide their grounds into several themed smaller gardens, such as butterfly gardens, four seasons gardens, Japanese gardens, etc. These can be very inspirational. Carry a journal along with your camera to keep track of color patterns you see, creative use of flower pairs, and anything else than inspires you.

FSN Announcement

FSN Funeral HomesThis may be a little off-topic, but we are so proud of our BRAND NEW look at FSNfuneralhomes.com! We have completely changed the look-and-feel, but also the motivation behind the site.

FSN Funeral Homes was originally created to help florists looking for funeral homes in other cities, but we realized it could serve a greater purpose. We want FSN Funeral Homes to be a complete resource for visitors who have questions or need help with funeral planning.

FLOWER ARRANGEMENT CARE TIPS
It’s a good idea to remove flowers from your flower arrangement as they die to prolong the life of other flowers. As the flowers expire, you may want to rearrange the remaining flowers. The best way to do this is to re-cut stems under water using a sharp knife. Also, clean your container with warm water, and use floral preservative when refilling.

You’ve Got Business! – Effective E-mail Marketing & You

E-mail marketing is the affordable way to keep your customers coming back.

Florist’s Roadside Journal
Florists, do you keep a roadside journal? What is that you ask?  A roadside journal is a little notebook you keep that documents local places where and when flowers grow naturally. Often times this might be near a field, around a fence, or growing at the end of a driveway.

The Time is Now! / El Momento es Ahora!
Are you Marketing to the Hispanic community? Speak their language. ¿Estaś Comercializacion a la comunidad Hispana? Habla su lengua a nivel mundial.  Be a part of the youngest trend setting markets in the United States. SCAM ALERT – New Telephone Scam
Just got word from the Texas Funeral Directors Association of a new scam going around that is perhaps the most sinister scam we’ve seen since telephone and e-mail scams began over 5 years ago.
