Money Tree Turning Yellow Instead of Green

I am a little confused do you have Pachira aquatica (Money Tree) or Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana). If you send me a photo I might have a better grasp on what is wrong with the plant and whether it is a money tree plant or a lucky bamboo. Is this plant in water or soil? If it is Pachira aquatica it should be planted in soil usually as a bonsai plant. Pachira aquatica requires a very moist soil but it also needs to drain excess soil. So it doesn’t need to set in water which will cause some of the problems you are seeing. Make sure the plant get bright indirect light and has a humid environment. Also, make sure that the container has a drain hole and is properly draining. Keep the soil moist but don’t let it dry out between waterings.

You been a God send – this plant is so important to me. It is water
fed. Not dirt. I am going to try cutting the roots – they appear to be
rusty/rotting. I going to take it completely apart and clean the dish
very good – will place plant in another container – temporarily. Thanks

You might want to use distilled water that way you won’t have to worry about the chlorine and fluoride levels of the tap water.
