Drew,

I believe you have a Kalanchoe daigremontiana (Bryophyluum daigremontaina) commonly known as Mother of Thousands. It was introduced to the southern tip of Florida from Madagascar. It is a succulent that can produce bell shaped pink blooms. It has many names some of which are devil's backbone, alligator plant and Mexican hat plant.

As for soil pick up a succulent or cactus soil at your local garden center or nursery. Water it regularly but don't over water it. Give it a fair amount of light. Frost will kill this plant, so move it indoors during the winter. Good luck and please keep me posted.
