There’s a special feeling that we all feel when our friend has achieved a special accomplishment. It’s a warm, fuzzy feeling that is slightly addictive and definitely contagious. President-elect Obama is not the only Illinois native that is striking up conversation in local flower shops. It’s almost too easy to celebrate the season this December. Family, friends, good food and great traditions make Christmas one of the few holidays that really move me to the core. It’s grace never failing to enthrall
This thing with so much intrigue

The young daffodil that stirs us all
When I learned that Narcissus is the birth month flower of December, I began rereading the story of Narcissus in Greek mythology. Though the story itself is somewhat tragic, it leaves quite a lot to be said for the remarkable beauty of the Narcissus.
