		<description>You need to take a cutting from the woody tissue close to the new growth.  Be sure to dip the cut end in rooting hormone before you stick it in the soil.  You will need to keep the soil very moist until the roots form.  

If your weigela is of some size or well established, you need to trim at least a 1/3 of it back.  This will give the plant a better chance of surviving transplant shock.  I would also use root stimulator or Vitamin B1 when you transplant it.
