What are these Pink Flowers and Purple Flowers?

Ask the Expert: flower identification
On a recent visit to the fantastic Craigside house, in particular the walled garden, I noticed 2 plants (1 with pink the other with blue/purple flowers), that I would love to have in my garden. The trouble is I do not know their names. If you could help to identify these plants, see attached photos, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Rory

  1. Rory,

The pink flower in the first photo is Cosmos bipinnates, maybe the variety “Sea Shells”. Just a little FYI the small blue flower at the bottom is an Ageratum, the yellow flower is a Marigold and the Tall red plant is a red spike Dracaena/Cordyline.

The second photo kind of stumps me; but I think it is some form of Cranesbill Geranium. I am basing this on the fact that Craigside house is in Great Britain and their climate is conducive to this plant.
