Joel,

The Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) will not survive your winter if left outdoors. It likes a warm and humid condition with light to partial shade; making it an excellent house plant. During your warmest months you can take it outside. Be sure to place it under some cover so the sun does not beat directly on it (Under arbors, patio covers etc). Strong sunlight will cause the leaves to yellow. The peace lily is susceptible to aphids and spider mites so keep an eye out for them. Keep your spath moist; this plant can be grown hydroponically.
