Mystery Houseplant - Dark Green Top With Plum Bottom
Ask the Expert: do you know what type of plant i have
I was given a plant as a house warming present. i asked the person that gave it to me and many of my plant loving friends nobody seems to know what it is. it has small spade shaped leaves with a dark green top. On the underside of the leaves they are a dark plum color the plant i have has absolutely gone nuts on my front porch it only gets about four hours of light it has no odor the leaves have a fuzzy feel to them please help Linda
I think by your description that you might have a member of the Pilea genus. Their are several member of this family. This is a picture of one of them.
Does your plant look similar to this? If not send me a picture, I have a few other ideas.
