What Is This House Plant With Red Leaves?

Ask The Plant Expert:

I received this from a funeral, and I’m trying to find out what it is so I can find how to care for it. – Ronna

Cordyline House Plant

Flower Shop Network Plant Expert Reply:

Ronna, what you have is a Cordyline Red Sister plant. This plant likes plenty of sunlight, which will help brighten it’s red colors. It is a tropical plant and does not like to be too cold. It should also be kept fairly moist with consistent watering. It would also benefit from weekly misting to increase the humidity. Hope this helps!
