Janet Craig Dracaena - Dracaean fragrans

Plant Expert Reply:

Angel,

It is a little difficult to tell from the picture. I think it is a Dracaena fragrans “Janet Craig.” As a whole, Dracaena’s are easy to maintain. This drought tolerant plant should be watered as the soil starts to dry. It thrives with a moderately moist soil and humid surroundings. You can mist the air around the plant every three days with luke-warm water to create humidity. Although it can take a wide range of indoor temperatures, it prefers around 70 degrees. It can take low-light conditions, but does best with a good source of indirect light. Keep it away from drafts. Other than spider mites and scale, this plant has no real issues to be aware of.

Hope this information was helpful.
