Let Your Florist Handle the Holiday Decorating

The holidays are in full swing so if you haven’t started decorating, you may be feeling slightly panicked. But don’t worry! There’s an unsung hero just waiting to help you make your home merry and bright. That’s right, your florist is waiting to help you spruce up your home for the holidays. This will probably include a little spruce and a little pine, in addition to poinsettias, holly, and amaryllis.

Starting with your tablescape, talk with your florist about a table runner created with seasonal evergreens. It will last longer than a traditional centerpiece and they look stunning alone, or with added decorations. If you are wanting something a little smaller for your table, a centerpiece of bright red holly berries and leaves with pine cones and pillar candles also make a statement.

For the home with a staircase, a garland or ribbon is almost always seen adorning it. If you are looking to change it up a little bit, add wreaths or poinsettias to the mix. Placing potted poinsettias on the stairs with other touches of holiday decor is an easy way to add florals to your decorations without a lot of fuss.

Evergreens are the most prominent pieces of holiday decor and for a great reason…They’ll last the entire season! But if you’re looking for something a little more floral that will also last, consider a Christmas Cactus or a potted arrangement with flowers, like hellebores, and succulents.
