Underwater SceneThe entries are in and are lookin’ GOOD!
In case you missed it, Flower Shop Network asked talented floral designers to create a fabulous floral art inspired by a subject we selected. For this one, we chose a photograph of an incredible, lush coral reef. It really piqued our florist’s interests and they delivered fantastic results! Find more about the Design Inspiration Challenge here.

Now it’s your turn to participate! Look at the photo carefully and choose a floral design you think best interprets this masterpiece. Look closely at all of the designs before picking a winner! There is a poll at the bottom of this post — Be sure to cast your vote!!

FSN wishes all of the florists who entered GOOD LUCK!!

  1. This was a really tough decision! I thought they were ALL great representations of the inspiration piece so I picked the 3 I would most likely use! Great work everyone!

  2. I voted for Flowers by Flowers because I love the symbolism. It’s rare that I get to see a floral arrangement with a political message. It feels a little heavy on one side but I’m impressed with how well they were able to recreate the coral reef using virtually only flowers. Aside from a shell or two I don’t think there isn’t anything in this arrangement that wouldn’t be perfectly at home in any other vase arrangement.

I voted for The Treehouse Florist because of how well it really pulls off the coral reef design without being over done. There’s a shell here and there, but for the most part it’s just flowers and moss and things and other plants. I’m not sure what the green cactus looking plants are but they really bring the arrangement home for me. It feels like I should be staring at this through an aquarium.

I voted for Forget Me Not Florist because their arrangement not only captures the feel of a coral reef, but also really feels like something that would be at home on a coffee table, or in a window. I love the cool greens and blues, and the purples stand out almost shockingly so. It lends it an excitement that makes me keep wanting to look at it again and again.

  3. Madeline says:

I pick Forget Me Not Florist, I feel its the best representation of the underwater reef with the greens they used. Adding the hints of other colors really makes the reef look spectacular.
